Lady

Lovely Lady is 9 ish years old and weighs 60lbs. This McNab/Aussie blend is a hoot! She’ll catch your eye in the kennel with her lovely manners and her ever-wiggling little nub tail. She cracks us up because she will keep pointing her head in the direction of the gate, politely hinting at what she wants. Take her out, and her playful bounds will brighten your day. She loves to talk to you and can be vocal. Lady has lived with children and cats and is potty trained. She loves everyone and greets people so sweetly. Lady needs strong containment or else she is keen to go exploring on unapproved walkabouts. Her adoption fee is $50.

Quigley

Always read entire post please. Due to Covid 19 – visits to meet our guests are by appointment only until further notice. 541 474-5458

Introducing….Quigley! This guy came to the shelter as a stray, so his history is a mystery! Weighing in at 46lbs and only ~1 year old, Quigley is looking forward to getting into a new home. He is sweet, sweet, sweet–always loving snuggles and hugs. He likes to roll over for belly rubs, and nuzzle into your lap. He does not have any leash experience, so we are working on that with him, but he will need a patient person to help show him the (literal) ropes! Quigley plays very well with other dogs. He does not like to be alone and we have seen him try to test our fencing to keep him contained, so solid containment is a must. This boy has so much love to give!

Meet Waldo
We are so thrilled to introduce a very special shelter guest: Waldo! This gentleman weighs 80lbs and we are guessing is ~10 years old. Waldo has lovely manners all around–he is good with other dogs, meeting new people, and his finder even reports that he did fine with his cats! He loves to go on walks, as well as snuggle time. Waldo has tested positive for Heartworm; we are looking for an adopter who can take over his medication and give him a home where he can take it easy.
Identified as a senior – his adoption fee is $50

Sugar

Hi, I’m Sugar and I am looking for a home! I am estimated around 2 years old. I was trapped as a part of an effort to fix feral cats, but guess what! I actually think you people aren’t that bad! I’m not feral–in fact, my foster mom reports that I would curl up on her leg, make cookies, and lean in for more pets. I like to talk to my people with adorable little chirps. I’m still not a huge fan of being picked up or held, but I am learning more each day. I’d thrive in a place where I could have some independence, but still enjoy those sweet neck massage you people like to give. Here at the shelter, I like to lay low. You may not see my full personality. But if you take a chance on me, I’ll show you how I got my name 🙂 My adoption fee has been sponsored and there is no fee to take me home!

Hugo

Always read entire post please. Due to Covid 19 – visits to meet our guests are by appointment only until further notice. 541 474-5458

Meet Hugo a Shepherd mix- maybe some guardian breed in there-
You won’t find a happier boy than Hugo! One look in his direction, and his tail wags and wags. Hugo is a big boy, weighing in at 91lbs, with room to gain a few more. He is friendly to all he meets, both human and canine alike. He does not enjoy dogs who are all up in his business, but is happy to coexist with respectful dogs. We do not have information on his behavior with other pets, as he was found as a stray. Hugo is working on potty manners, as he thinks it’s his mission to mark everything at knee height. His recent neuter surgery will hopefully help his new family adjust him to his new setup.

Leia

Hi, I’m Leia–a 3 yr old who weighs about 60lbs. I’m a wiggly, happy girl who craves affection and is gentle in how I ask for it. You know, the kinda girl who leans up on your leg and looks longingly in your eyes. I have lived with older kids and did great with them. I am potty trained and even kennel trained for bedtime! I would do best in a quiet household. I bond up with women very quickly, and although I can make buddies with some men, some men frighten me quite a bit at first. I may not be a take-me-everywhere kinda dog, but I am absolutely a loving, loyal companion who thrives in the comfort and safety of home. I’m looking for a person who understands my needs and will help keep me safe.

Jasper

Jasper is a 2 year old boy who weighs 50lbs. Japser is a spunky, social boy who really enjoys playing with the other big dogs here at the shelter. He does not enjoy small dogs or some cats. Jasper was surrendered to the shelter because he kept getting out and going on walkabouts. He will need a very secure yard to keep him safe. Jasper has lived with children before and is friendly with them, although can play a little rough. He is a loyal protector and a faithful companion.

Dakota

Always read entire post please. Due to Covid 19 – visits to meet our guests are by appointment only until further notice. 541 474-5458

Miss Dakota is about 1 year old and weighs ~30lbs. Dakota is a sweetheart, with an affectionate temperament. Coming to the shelter was one of her first outings ever, so there are a lot of new things that make her nervous, but boy, does she learn quickly! Leashes, car rides, other dogs, big noises–these are all new to her, but she is making so much progress. She already has experience living with respectful kids and dog-savvy cats, and has done well with both. She has not done well meeting other dogs–she is very nervous of them and does not let them share her space. We are looking for a home for her where she can be the only dog for now. She is waiting for that person who can give her a little patience and TLC to help her blossom!

Meet Cecil
Cecil is a ~3 year old boy who weighs ~70lbs. This fun guy is a wigglebutt extraordinaire, and wants to be as close to people as possible. He is a confident, active fella looking for a similar human! He is over-exuberant and pushy with other dogs, so at this time, we are still working on dog skills before placing him in a home with other dogs. Cecil is sure to put a smile on your face with his goofy antics!
