Paisley

Meet Paisley  Breed unkown- Great American Shelter Dog.
Introducing a very special guest: Paisley! Paisley is about 1 yr old and weighs 30lbs. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was limping. Xrays showed that she had an injury to her pelvis. Her injury included a fracture to the hip joint on the right, where the hip socket was broken from the leg bone. Paisley had a successful FHO surgery, sponsored by Shelter Friends, where the broken bone was removed from the hip socket. Paisley will never be a famous frisbee dog, but she is a great companion and a perfect size for couch snuggling! She has spent time in a foster home, and here is what her foster mama says about her:

Paisley is doing extremely well. Walks on all 4 paws, but when in a hurry she favors her injured leg. But she shows absolutely no sign of pain, nothing stops her doing what she wants. I get the feeling she is so used to favoring her bad leg that it is normal to her. Otherwise she is pure gold! Loves all people, playing with my dog, and our cuddles on the couch. In fact, she would be very happy to do this all day long and so she would be a great companion dog living with someone who is home much of the time. And she is perfect with my dog too, and follows him around like his little sister.. She also has good recall when I need her to come. And she is clean in the house with regular access to the outside, and respectful. She may carry my shoes around, but does not chew them. Just a little thief. She also plays with her toys. She still has some fun puppy personality in her. I also like her size at about 30 lbs. She also likes to lick and chew on hands, so perhaps family with no small kids, unless they don’t mind all of her affection.

Baby

Total package alert! Miss Baby is a 3 yr old girl who weighs 80lbs. This lovebug has experience living with children, cats, dogs, and fowl. She is friendly to all she meets and a big fan of snuggling. She has nice manners, but still gets a bit of that wiggle butt going when excited. Baby is protective of her home and will alert when strangers come by, but has no problem making friends very easily.

Milo

Meet Milo
Hi, I’m Milo! I’m a 3 year old boy (almost 4) who weighs 43lbs. I am the epitome of “happy-go-lucky”–one look in my direction and my tail starts wagging. I am a social butterfly who doesn’t not understand the word “stranger.” I am a wiggly, boundy boy who is quick to make new friends–with new dogs, too! I’m playful and polite with my canine companions. I am a hound through and through, so please be prepared for my busy nature and my tendency to follow my nose. I just don’t like to get bored, what’s wrong with that? I get along with most dogs and children.

Lyla

Meet Lyla a presumed German Shepherd husky mix.
Alrighty folks–if you are looking for the total package, look no further! Sweet Lyla is 1 year old and weighs 83lbs (although she should be closer to 73… 🙂 ). Lyla is an affectionate, snuggler who has gentle manners with people. She has lived with cats, dogs, and children before. She is a gentle companion, but a loyal protector and alerts when people she doesn’t know arrive. Although Lyla can be shy at first, the outer shell is worth cracking through, to get to the warm, gooey middle. Belly rubs, couch snuggles, leg leans–all are her M.O. Once introduced to her inner circle, you are in for life ♥
