Happy Endings

These furry friends have found their forever homes! Thank you to each of you who have allowed us to add to this list!

Titan

Always read entire post please.

This is Titan, presumed German Shorthair mix, 4 years old,75lb boy who is looking for a new home. Titan is a friendly, motivated boy. If there is a cookie in your hand, you will have him wrapped around your finger. While Titan has shared his home with other dogs before, he also has not gotten along with every dog he meets–ideally, a home with no other pets would be good for Titan, but we could always do a meet and greet to see how they do. His last two brother with dachshunds, and they got along great! Titan has lived with children before and is good with them. He is also potty trained and has nice manners, when he isn’t too excited and forgets them momentarily 🙂 Titan is an athletic, active boy looking for a similar home. No cats, please!

Chicoba

Hi, I’m Chicoba! I’m a 5 years young female. I’m a sweetheart with lots of love to give. If you pet me, I just melt, it’s my favorite thing! I can be a tiny bit reserved at first, but trust me, I’m worth getting to know. I have lived with other cats before, too.

Taz

Hi, I’m Taz! I may be on the older side (OK, I’m 17) but I am SUPER loving and affectionate. I am declawed and free to the right home! I am older so I don’t like to play too much, I just want to lay around, give love and receive love. I am looking for a home where I can retire and find all that love… could it be yours?

Vina

Always read entire post please.
Hello, my name is Vina (pronounced Veeena). I’m about 2 years old and weigh ~70lbs. I’m looking for a new home who wants a friendly, loving companion. I’m social and love to make new friends. I’ve got pretty nice manners, too. When it comes to other dogs, I have met some politely, but sometimes I am pushy. Working on it, though!

Honey

Meet Honey a presumed Lab mix
Hi, I’m Honey! It is not hard to figure out how I got my name–I’m the sweetest! I’m about 3 years old and weigh 57lbs. I have excellent manners in the home, says my former owner, and love car rides. I have also lived with children and are great with them! I’m friendly towards all strangers–I’d be a lousy guard dog. Shelter staff is working on seeing if I could coexist with another dog, but so far I’m not a huge fan of sharing my space with other dogs. Humans, though, I cannot get enough! I have heartworm, so I am looking for a Heartworm Hero to adopt me! Shelter Friends will pay for my treatment, you just have to help me get my meds and to a few vet appointments. I’m a regular dog in every other way, and once treated, this will be behind me for good!

Bear

Meet Bear
My name is Bear and I am looking for a new family. I weigh ~70lbs and am ~2 years old. Ok, let’s get this out of the way: my eye looks like this because I just had a minor eye surgery to correct entropion. You see, when I was first found a few months ago, it appeared I had been hit by a car. That’s why my head looks a little different as well–I have some muscle atrophy that leaves a little indent on my head. Isn’t it crazy how I can have some funky traits and STILL be this cute?! I know, I know…nuts….Anyways, I’m looking for an active family who would love to have a loyal companion–a loyal companion who is potty trained and good with children, too! I’m friendly to all people I meet and am polite with female dogs. I am looking for a home without male dogs or cats, please.

Smokey

Always read entire post please.

Hi, I’m Smokey a presumed Malamute mix! I’m a 2 year old boy who weighs 81lbs. I’m a big boy with a big personality! I’m an extra-friendly dog who does not comprehend the word ‘shy.’ I enjoy meeting new people and really like to play with female dogs. I do not enjoy the company of male dogs. I need a yard with good containment so I can stay home, because given the opportunity, I like to take unofficial walks. Come meet me and you’ll see what a goofball I am!

Clover

Always read entire post please.
there! My name is Clover a presumed pit mix. I’m about 4 years old and weigh 49lbs. I am a gentle sweetiepie, who loves to roll over for belly rubs. I have very nice manners when meeting new people, and although my tail is always wagging, I don’t knock people over or get pushy with my requests for attention–I really am quite a lady! I do not prefer the company of other dogs and would like to be an only pet at this time. Shelter staff is working on introducing me to others and is hopeful that I will be able to play with other dogs in the future!

Cole

***UPDATE: Cole’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a donor! There is no fee to take him home!*** “Hi, I’m Cole! Let’s get all the tripod jokes out of the way–yes, I have three legs. Yes, it makes me walk funny. Yes, I still get around great! When I came into the shelter, I wasn’t putting any weight on my front paw. Upon x-ray, it was found that I had been shot! There was no way to repair the leg, so the best option was to amputate, and now I am living my best life. Big thanks to Shelter Friends – Josephine County Oregon for sponsoring my surgery! I’m about 1 year old and an easygoing fella–I enjoy pets and affection, but am not necessarily a lap cat. I am easy to get along with. I don’t really enjoy the company of dogs or other cats. I have nice litter box manners when the box is nearby–I may need multiple boxes in my home. It is presumed that I have been an outdoor cat my whole life and will need some help adjusting to indoor living, but I’m making great progress! I will need to be strictly indoors only, since I can no longer fend for myself.”

Petunia

Meet Petunia! “I showed up at a new house one day and just would not go
home! No one knows where I came from, but it was clear this was not my
first time meeting humans! I am about 6 years old and now that I am spayed
and vaccinated, I am ready for a fresh start. I love to get pets, be brushed and having
my neck scratched is my favorite thing! I have the cutest polydactyl feet
with extra toes on all four – please call to arrange to come meet me and see!”
